AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Réalta Technologies are currently working with a major Pharmaceutical client seeking an Automation Engineer with good Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal experience to support commissioning and qualifications on new process equipment. This is a great opportunity to join our Automation team which is driving change and enabling key technology & software capabilities.

Responsibilities

1. Define, develop and deploy automation projects into client sites.
2. Develop automation requirements and specifications.
3. Updating PLC system IP address and troubleshooting connection issues.
4. Machine connectivity, connected machine to networks for Historian and other data logging.
5. Conduct equipment control system connectivity assessments.
6. Manage automation suppliers through all phases of projects.
7. Draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities.
8. Ensure compliance with client procedures, cGMP, recognized quality standards and regulatory expectation.
9. Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled.
10. Develop, debug and validate Control System software programs.
11. Analyse, understand, fault-find and modify automation software.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
13. Ability to organize, plan and implement multiple tasks to tight schedules, to ensure work on time and within budget.
14. Ability to detail own work clearly and accurately.
15. Provide ideas and solutions for the improvement and development of control systems.

Requirements

1. 4-5 years overall industrial experience.
2. Degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
3. Experience with Siemens Step 7 Simatic Manager and TIA Portal.
4. Experience in manufacturing, automation, IT-Systems.
5. Accustomed to working in a validated environment with strong discipline with regard to change management.
6. Good organizational, planning and prioritisation skills.
7. Good oral and written communication skills.
