AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Réalta Technologies are currently working with a major Pharmaceutical client seeking an Automation Engineer with good Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal experience to support commissioning and qualifications on new process equipment. This is a great opportunity to join our Automation team which is driving change and enabling key technology & software capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Define, develop and deploy automation projects into client sites.
- Develop automation requirements and specifications.
- Updating PLC system IP address and troubleshooting connection issues.
- Machine connectivity, connected machine to networks for Historian and other data logging.
- Conduct equipment control system connectivity assessments.
- Manage automation suppliers through all phases of projects.
- Draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities.
- Ensure compliance with client procedures, cGMP, recognized quality standards and regulatory expectation.
- Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled.
- Develop, debug and validate Control System software programs.
- Analyse, understand, fault-find and modify automation software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize, plan and implement multiple tasks to tight schedules, to ensure work on time and within budget.
- Ability to detail own work clearly and accurately.
- Provide ideas and solutions for the improvement and development of control systems.
Requirements
- 4-5 years overall industrial experience.
- Degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
- Experience with Siemens Step 7 Simatic Manager and TIA Portal.
- Experience in manufacturing, automation, IT-Systems.
- Accustomed to working in a validated environment with strong discipline with regard to change management.
- Good organizational, planning and prioritisation skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
