Vac U Digga is New Zealand's leading hydro excavation specialist. Hydro excavation is all we do, the level of expertise we've accrued doesn't happen overnight. It's the result of 18 years of civil construction experience and ten years of Research and Development. The Sales Executive is responsible for ensuring long term growth and profitability of the region by serving as a centre of excellence, identifying and developing relationships with key strategic clients across the entire regional business, acting as a true sales guru with a deep understanding of market dynamics and sales strategies. A highly sales-driven professional, the Sales Executive will proactively identify, develop and convert business opportunities, while consistently exceeding targets. The individual is self-motivated, thriving on the road and able to work autonomously, managing time and resources effectively to drive results. At the same time, they will collaborate closely with other team members, providing leadership and support to managers through to execution. What's the role? Reporting to the NZ Operations Manager, this role will be accountable for identifying strategic initiatives to drive growth in the business and converting strategic planning opportunities into tangible results. In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Researching and evaluating new markets that Vac U Digga may not currently be participating in for potential financial opportunities in both existing capability and the development of new service capability.
- Working closely with the operational team and providing support to other operations staff when required.
- Ensuring alignment of pricing strategies to the overall business strategy.
- Implementing suitable client development plans capturing additional growth opportunities.
- Reporting fortnightly on the forecasted utilisation of key equipment.

- Heaps of development and opportunities for growth.
- True health and safety – you'll never have to work in an unsafe environment or in a situation where you feel uncomfortable.
- Robust knowledge of contract/project management, including planning, reporting, performance monitoring and evaluating and/or qualifications.
- Sales/marketing/promotional experience and/or qualifications.
- Quality principles/systems would be advantageous but not necessary.
- Solid understanding of target market segments.
- Leadership and management capabilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people.
- Ability to organise and manage multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
- Creative problem solving.
- Ability to work well together in a team and make strong relationships with management.
- Sound judgment and decision-making.
