With demand for their services increasing by the day, they are currently looking for a Branch Manager based in Klang Valley to manage P&L and maximizing revenue while overseeing operational matters too.

Job Description

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement comprehensive commercial and operational strategies to drive growth and expand market share within assigned region.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Market Expansion:

• Lead market entry initiatives into new territories within assigned region.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry associations.

Client Acquisition and Retention:

• Drive client acquisition efforts, focusing on securing high-value contracts and partnerships.
• Enhance client retention by developing tailored solutions and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Team Leadership:

• Build and lead a high-performing work force across the region.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Performance Management:

• Set performance targets and monitor key metrics to assess the effectiveness of business development initiatives.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage the branch budget, implement cost-effective measures, and prepare financial reports to achieve profitability targets and improve financial performance.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate must have proven track record in commercial and financial management within the freight forwarding industry, with a particular emphasis on air and sea freight. It's critical you have an all-rounded experience and must possess the requirements below:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field; MBA is advantageous.
• 10+ years in Logistics (of which at least 5 are in leadership roles), with a strong focus on the freight forwarding industry, particularly sea and air freight.
• Demonstrated success in commercial & operational functions; prior experience in branch management is highly advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of the APAC logistics market, regulatory environment, trade practices, and related management software.
• Must possess exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills along with outstanding financial acumen.
