DevOps Engineer

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with software development and operations teams to design, implement, and improve our CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment and configuration processes, and support infrastructure and production environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and continuously optimized, bringing expertise in DevOps principles and best practices to streamline our workflows and enhance system reliability. Key Responsibilities:

• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Collaborate with software development teams to design, implement, and improve continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline software delivery processes.
• Automation and Configuration Management: Automate and enhance build, deployment, and configuration management processes using industry-standard DevOps tools and technologies, ensuring efficient and scalable workflows.
• Issue Resolution and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, build, and deployment issues to minimize downtime and ensure high availability and performance of systems.
• Production Support: Work closely with the operations team to support production environments, conduct root cause analyses, and implement preventive measures to ensure system stability.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain internal documentation using Git and similar applications to promote knowledge sharing and operational transparency.
• Industry Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, ensuring compliance with configuration standards and security requirements.
• Monitoring and Logging Infrastructure: Deploy and manage monitoring and logging infrastructure (e.g., Prometheus, Nagios, Datadog) to maintain system observability and quickly respond to incidents.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong grasp of DevOps principles and best practices.
• Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to support automation tasks.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for managing containerized applications.
• Configuration Management: Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS, along with experience using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• CI/CD Tools: Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts with practical experience using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.
• Code Quality and Security: Experience configuring and integrating SonarQube for code quality checks and automating security testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring and Logging: Proficiency in deploying monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Nagios, Datadog) to maintain system observability.
• Operating Systems: Strong understanding of various operating systems, especially Linux.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitHub, GitHub Actions, AWS, and AWS DevOps tools.

• Strong communication skills, with a collaborative, team-centric approach to discussion and decision-making.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Focus on automation and agility to support continuous improvement in development and operational workflows.
