About our Production Engineering Team: Liftoff’s Production Engineering team play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product delivery. You'll immerse yourself in a data-rich environment where your expertise will directly influence the enhancement of developer workflows, ensuring that every product and feature we release is not only reliable and efficient but also resonates with scale. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Liftoff’s Supply infrastructure. Partner with senior engineers to build reliable, high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems serving millions of requests per second. Improve tooling and infrastructure to support frequent, high-quality software releases. Participate in code reviews and discussions to maintain an “engineering excellence” culture, focusing on best practices and risk-driven testing. Work with cutting-edge open-source technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, HAProxy, ArgoCD). Participate in on-call responsibilities (in rotation with the team), learning how to manage and troubleshoot production systems. Follow established processes for day-to-day operations, emphasizing automation and proactive issue resolution. Collaborate with peers and senior team members, sharing learnings and contributing to team growth. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) with minimum 2yrs of professional experience, or equivalent experience. Hands-on experience with system design principles, data structures, and algorithms, applied in real-world scenarios. Professional experience in programming - Golang preferred. Familiarity with containerized workloads and/or Kubernetes. Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and implementations. Strong communication and collaboration skills; enthusiasm for teamwork. Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and speaking. Bonus Experience (e.g., internships, personal projects) in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (Postgres, Redis, RocksDB) or messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Spark). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, especially in a containerized or Kubernetes environment. Understanding of or interest in machine learning workflows and infrastructure. Prior experience building self-serve platforms or improving developer workflows. Familiarity with security standards and protocols.
