JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is currently recruiting for Senior Electrical Designer to strengthen our team in Dubai, UAERESPONSIBILITIESCarry out assigned Instrument design work as part of a multi-discipline project teamMaybe required to perform site surveys and data gathering exercises at various project locationsTo provide discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project's, and applicable statutory and regulatory, requirementsTo provide technical support to the site team during design, engineering and constructionPreparation and checking of all types of Electrical and/or Instrument design deliverables such as Block Diagrams, Schematics, Layout Drawings, Termination Diagrams, Schedules, Loop Diagrams, Hook-up Arrangements, Material Take-Offs, etcInterdisciplinary check of all Civil/Structural/Piping/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation drawingsReview of vendor drawings for Equipment / Package itemsProduce drawings in AutoCADTo assist in the coordination of all activities related to the disciplineTo promote safe behaviour at all timesQUALIFICATIONSDiploma qualification or HND in Electronics / Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 8 years relevant experience in an engineering design company as an Electrical DesignerKnowledge of site-based project work involving field engineering and constructionExperience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferredPrevious experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantagePrevious Onshore Oil and Gas related Electrical and/or Instrument design experienceProficient in the use of AutoCAD, Excel and WordExperience of 3D modelling using SP3D PRB
