Librarian

Library Assistant - Al-Khor, Qatar We are hiring a Library Assistant to join our team at a prestigious library in Al-Khor, Qatar. As the Library Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the library, including organizing and maintaining library materials, providing customer service to library patrons, and performing administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about books and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

1. Organize and maintain library materials according to established procedures
2. Assist with cataloging and classifying new materials
3. Provide assistance to library patrons in locating materials and answering inquiries
4. Process new library memberships and maintain accurate records of all members
5. Perform circulation duties such as checking out and returning materials, collecting fines, etc.
6. Assist with planning and implementing library programs and events
7. Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, etc.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times

1. Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
2. Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus
3. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
4. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
5. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
6. Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and searching for information
7. Fluent in English (Hindi or other Indian languages preferred)
8. Must be able to work part-time hours without accommodation
