Finance Officer - Focus on Cash Flow Management About the Role Our client, a respected law firm, is seeking a Finance Officer to play a vital role in maintaining the firm's financial health, with a strong focus on cash flow management . This position is crucial for ensuring smooth financial operations, compliance, and effective support for the firm's leadership team.Key Responsibilities Cash Flow Management: Maintain and update weekly and 13-week cash flow reports. Monitor and manage firm liquidity to meet operational needs. Oversee debtor management to ensure timely payments. Banking and Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations. Liaise with banks to resolve issues and manage transactions. Administer credit card management and reconciliations. Financial Reporting and Planning: Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to leadership. Compliance and Trust Account Management: Ensure compliance with ATO, QLS Trust Account Regulations, and other legal requirements. Maintain trust account records, including receipting and audits. Expense and Billing Oversight: Support accurate billing processes and follow up on collections. Monitor expenses and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will possess:Strong experience in cash flow management and financial operations. A keen understanding of compliance requirements, including trust accounts and ATO regulations. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial software and tools.
