Assistant Accountant- Fashion Retail

Super excited to be working on a Assistant Management accountant for a fashion retail brand set up by an iconic artist- You must have experience across retail/Fashion in a Finance assistant/AP role. Based in Hammersmith, this role is hybrid, 3 days in their buzzing office and working from home, they are also offering full study support and would love to find someone who has just started their ACCA/AAT and looking to continue the journey. Assisting the Finance Manager with monthly management accounts reporting and balance sheet presentations in a timely manner. Main Responsibilities:

• Assist in the month end close and preparation of management accounts
• Tasks include inter company and other balance sheet account reconciliations, payroll, depreciation, accruals, prepayments and other journal adjustments.
• Working closely with finance teams on VAT returns
• Ad hoc analysis, provision of information and support to the wider finance team
• Assisting month end with bank postings and reconciliations
• Assist in providing management with accurate and timely information on sales and stock levels
• Accounts Payable duties where needed
• Help support the business through the yearly audits with duties around preparation of audit schedules, statutory accounts and general queries
• Systems/Processes: Assist with the development of systems and processes to ensure that the PO, invoice, payment processes are adequately addressed

• Good Excel skills, comfortable with IT systems
• Organised, efficient, self-sufficient person with good interpersonal skills and can-do attitude
• Demonstrate an interest in improving and developing systems and procedures
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to prioritise, meet deadlines and targets

• Desirable: wanting to undertake exams eg AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA
