Product Engineer

A partner of Insight Global is looking for a Product Engineer (PE) who will be responsible for ensuring accurate technical requirements are identified for quoting and that conforming products are sourced, developed, and qualified to customer’s requirements around the globe. The Product Engineer provides recommendations to improve the overall design of products for manufacturability and cost effectiveness (primarily castings, forgings, and machining of components). They will support the global teams with casting simulation to ensure robust production of cast components. Provides technical input during reviews of customer designs and RFQ packages – including review of material specifications, GD&T, and manufacturability. -Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Material Science -Casting simulation experience (Magmasoft) -8+ years of relevant work experience -strong mechanical aptitude and GD&T experience
