As a Technician III supporting the Facility team, you will be trusted for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility equipment and systems in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. In this role, a typical day will include:

1. Operations:
2. Adherence to Alcon values and standards, observing and ensuring full compliance with Alcon Code of Business Conduct.
3. Observing and ensuring full compliance with Alcon Health Safety and Environment Standards.
4. Executing efficient and effective PM activities, ensuring Facility equipment and systems such as Boilers achieve minimum downtime and minimum NCR.
5. Providing Facility support to other functions as required.
6. Ensuring all PM records are properly recorded and kept.
7. Providing 24/7 round-the-clock support to production.
8. Assisting Engineer in cost reduction, cost saving, machine set-up, and improving efficiency of PM and machine repairs time.
9. Promoting effective communication with peers across all shifts and ensuring efficient shift hand-over and effective start-up meetings.
10. Investigating process and quality failures resulting from equipment/process related problems and proposing permanent solutions.
11. Responsible for local regulatory requirements for all types of equipment producing high-pressure steam.
12. Updating all equipment and instrument Preventive Maintenance and other records in the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) system in use.
13. Strictly adhering to 5S, GXP, Safety aspects, and performing routine inspections to ensure the systems are operating in safe and good conditions.
14. Ensuring Chemical & Fire Fighting equipment are managed and maintained in good condition.

HSE:

1. Conducting respective area risk analyses to identify issues and preventive measures.
2. Coordinating and supporting preventive measures.
3. Participating or supporting with an active role on the site emergency response team.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: Education: STPM/Certificate or Diploma in Engineering Experience: 3 Years in Maintenance of Building management, pest control, cleaning service, HVAC, or Electrical/Boiler.
