Job Summary: The Manager Contract Management will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts within the organization, ensuring that they align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: Contract Lifecycle Management:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to renewable energy projects, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), supplier agreements, land leases, and construction contracts.
  • Oversee the full contract lifecycle from negotiation, execution, and performance management, through to contract closeout. Ensure timely execution of contracts, minimizing delays and risks.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure all contracts comply with relevant local, national, and international laws and regulations, including renewable energy-specific regulations and environmental compliance.
  • Identify potential risks in contracts and suggest mitigation strategies, including analyzing contractual obligations, performance guarantees, and indemnification clauses.
  • Work closely with legal, compliance, and project teams to mitigate and resolve any contract-related disputes.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders such as legal, procurement, finance, and project teams to ensure smooth contract execution and adherence to contract terms.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external contractors, clients, and partners regarding contract performance and compliance.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Develop and maintain a system for tracking key contract performance metrics (e.g., milestones, deadlines, deliverables).
  • Provide regular reports on contract performance and potential issues to senior management.
  • Monitor contract compliance to ensure contractual obligations are met, including timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
Contract Risk Assessment & Optimization:
  • Perform thorough contract risk assessments and provide recommendations to improve contract terms, structures, and business outcomes.
  • Suggest improvements to contract processes and documentation to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks for future projects.
Contract Negotiation:
  • Lead contract negotiation processes with vendors, clients, and partners, ensuring alignment with company objectives and strategies.
  • Ensure that terms are favorable and protect the company’s interests while maintaining positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or professional certifications such as PMP or CIPS preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in contract management or related roles, preferably within the renewable energy industry.
