Government Confidential is looking to hire a Computer Vision Engineer Full Time On-site Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Computer Vision Engineer to join our innovative R&D team. You will be responsible for developing state-of-the-art computer vision solutions that solve complex real-world problems. As a key contributor, you will work closely with other engineers, data scientists, and product teams to implement advanced image processing techniques, object detection models, and machine learning algorithms to enhance our product offerings. Key Responsibilities:

Algorithm Development:
- Design, develop, and optimize algorithms for real-time image and video analysis, including object detection, image classification, segmentation, feature extraction, and motion tracking.
- Implement machine learning models for image recognition and enhancement tasks, leveraging deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV.
Model Training and Optimization:
- Train machine learning models on large-scale datasets, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency in complex environments.
- Optimize models for speed, memory usage, and power consumption, ensuring their ability to run on edge devices or in cloud environments.
- Apply techniques such as transfer learning, model quantization, and hyperparameter tuning to improve performance.
Data Processing:
- Develop and implement methods for preprocessing raw data, including noise reduction, image normalization, and augmentation, to improve the quality and robustness of models.
- Collaborate with data engineers to build efficient pipelines for image data storage, retrieval, and processing.
System Integration:
- Work with software engineers to integrate computer vision models into production systems, ensuring seamless deployment and functionality in real-world applications.
- Collaborate with embedded systems engineers to optimize models for edge devices, ensuring efficient processing on constrained hardware.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision and AI by reading relevant research papers and participating in conferences or workshops.
- Apply cutting-edge techniques to solve new and existing challenges, and prototype novel solutions for upcoming products and features.
Testing & Validation:
- Create test cases and evaluate model performance using key metrics (e.g., precision, recall, F1 score, and inference time).
- Conduct field tests and real-world simulations to validate the reliability and accuracy of the computer vision systems.
- Work closely with product teams to understand customer needs and develop computer vision applications that solve real-world problems.
- Engage in cross-functional collaborations with software developers, UX/UI designers, and machine learning engineers to deliver optimal end-user experiences.
Documentation:
- Document all processes, algorithms, and models for future reference and team use.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing through presentations, technical reports, and code reviews.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on machine learning, artificial intelligence, or computer vision.
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision or a related field. Proven experience with machine learning and computer vision algorithms such as object detection (YOLO, Faster R-CNN), image classification (ResNet, VGG), and image segmentation (Mask R-CNN, UNet).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or C++ programming. Experience with computer vision libraries and frameworks such as OpenCV, Dlib, TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch. Strong understanding of image processing techniques, including filtering, edge detection, and morphological operations. Familiarity with camera calibration, stereo vision, 3D reconstruction, and optical flow.
Mathematical Knowledge: Strong foundation in linear algebra, probability, optimization, and signal processing. Understanding of deep learning architectures, convolutional neural networks (CNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and generative models.
Tools & Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for deploying models. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, and experience in version control using Git. Experience in utilizing GPU-based acceleration (e.g., CUDA) for model training and inference.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on edge devices (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Google Coral).
Familiarity with real-time processing and multi-threaded application development.
Published papers or patents in computer vision or machine learning.
Knowledge of sensor fusion techniques (LIDAR, radar, etc.).
Experience with SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) for real-world environments.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical skills with an ability to solve complex technical problems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team.
Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Creative and willing to push the boundaries of what is possible in computer vision.
