The British International School Riyadh (BISR) is an extremely well-regarded not-for-profit, co-educational school in the Middle East, catering for students aged 3-18 across seven campuses, providing high-quality education to the expatriate community since 1979. BISR is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and as a British School Overseas (BSO). Whole School Physical Education Teacher (PE)

We seek an enthusiastic PE teacher to join our team who will be committed to continuing the excellent reputation of the school. You will need to be reflective in your practice, highly motivated and able to work collaboratively to provide outstanding learning experiences for all children. This position lends itself to applicants who have experience in teaching a wide range of activities across both Primary and Senior school. We specifically seek a candidate who can co-deliver the BTEC in Sport and support the curriculum swimming programme; previous swim teaching experience or qualifications would be an advantage. With an expanding ECA programme, the successful candidate will be encouraged to contribute to the continued development and growth of the department. Our CCA performance sports include Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Netball and Athletics, so a passion for one or all of these areas would be welcome.   • Plan, teach and assess students across the school including the Level 3 International BTEC course.
  • Be able to teach swimming across all year groups.
  • Be innovative, creative, enthusiastic, highly motivated and learning-focused.
  • Have a strong track record of excellent classroom practice and pastoral care.
  • Be committed to the delivery of high-quality learning experiences underpinned by a clear understanding of how learning is developed.
  • Use high-quality assessment and feedback strategies to ensure students make good progress with their learning.
  • Create a positive climate for learning, supporting the holistic development of each student, with a strong emphasis on well-being in an intercultural context.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, high levels of emotional intelligence and a good sense of humour, effectively collaborating within a range of teams.
  • Fully support the school's Mission, Vision and REACH values.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including the co-curricular activities and events.
  • Have a UK or UK-recognised teaching qualification.
