The Opportunity Nestlé Purina NZL is seeking a passionate & dynamic Head of Sales to lead its Grocery Channel and drive profitable growth with customers for our Petcare business. In this pivotal role, reporting directly to Purina Business Executive Officer, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic growth and profitability through the development of innovative sales initiatives. - Define and implement the Grocery Channel strategy with our key retail partners.
- Foster strong customer relationships through joint business planning.
- Lead the Customer Business Managers Team, driving accounts performance and accountability for achieving targets and KPIs, ensuring exceptional results and sustained growth.
- Steer our trade investment in an efficient way to drive profitable growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align Category, Channel, Portfolio and Field sales plans, including investment strategies.
- Foster team development and growth through effective talent management and support.
- Ensure compliance with all company principles and regulations to maintain the highest standards of integrity and safety.
- Share customer best practices with peers and collaborate with relevant teams to effectively meet customer needs.
- Extensive experience in commercial roles with a proven track record of leading successful teams.
- Strong knowledge of the New Zealand retail landscape, including direct exposure to customer review processes (ideally across all major key accounts).
- Proficiency in data-centric decision-making and analytics to drive sales strategies and performance.
- Petcare industry experience is a plus but not mandatory.
