DEVELOPMENTAL THERAPIST: JOB DESCRIPTION About Children First: Children First is a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service located across Delhi and Gurgaon. We have been providing ethical, effective, and holistic solutions for children and adolescents until 25 years old for over a decade. The CF team is led by Dr. Amit Sen, Dr. Shelja Sen, and Dr. Kavita Arora, who have deep expertise and extensive experience in the child and adolescent mental health space. Over the years they were joined by some of the most committed, empathetic, and skilled professionals, building a multidisciplinary team, which continues to grow. Expected Work Profile:
- Interest and inclination to work with neurodevelopmental disorders, especially autism spectrum disorder, focusing on social and communication delays, play, and cognitive skills.
- Openness to learning various techniques and getting trained to work in a structured intervention process like individual work and small group work.
- Work towards a common child-centred program for each child within a multidisciplinary team addressing the developmental milestones and the family's journey.
- Motivation and enthusiasm to work with children and adolescents.
- Team player- Keenness to work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team of child psychiatrists, child psychologists, special educators, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and play therapists.
- Fluent in English and Hindi.
- Ability to train and disseminate knowledge
- High professional ethics
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Keenness to learn and grow as a professional
- Child Developmental Degree/Special Education/ Psychology
- Desirable: Previous experience in working with children with Autism Spectrum Conditions and neurodivergence
- Training Desirable: Trained in specialised teaching/intervention programmes like ESDM, ABA, NDBI, RDI etc.
