Head of Physical Education The British International School of Jeddah Saudi Arabia Salary: Total annual package including allowances: BA+4 years – GBP59,000 / BA+6 years – GBP66,000 Job type: Full Time, Permanent Start date: 12 August 2025 Apply by: 31 January 2025 Job overview The British International School of Jeddah (BISJ) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Physical Education (PE) to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic leader to shape the PE curriculum, inspire students, and manage extracurricular activities across all year groups, from Early Years to IB SEHS. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of a whole-school PE curriculum, ensuring progression from Early Years to IGCSE and IB SEHS.
Oversee day-to-day operations of the PE department, including resource and facility management.
Foster a culture of excellence by mentoring and supporting PE staff.
Collaborate with school leadership to ensure alignment with international standards and examination requirements.
Analyse student performance data to drive curriculum improvement and enhance outcomes.
Manage health and safety protocols for PE facilities and equipment.
Lead and coordinate extracurricular activities aligned with the school’s mission and vision.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field (Master's preferred).
Proven experience in PE leadership, preferably in an international school setting.
Experience with IGCSE PE and IB SEHS curriculum.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of health and safety standards in educational sports settings.
Experience coordinating extracurricular activities is an advantage.
Minimum 3 years of related experience.
