Technical Manager - Integration

The Integration Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the project configuration and information management systems functions for the C3/4 Project. This role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, applying problem-solving skills, streamlining approaches with ‘Best for Project’ objectives. The Integration Manager will be required to align with external Stakeholders, lead functional teams, manage resources, identify and manage risks and address any issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for the project configuration and information management system team, aligning all external stakeholders with the overall goals and objectives of the Project.
- Work closely with external clients/partners for integration and interface management (equipment, IT technical)
- Manage the implementation of shared tools hosted and shared externally (SMART 3D, SPFL, SPI, SPID, Tekla, native files).
- Develop IT infrastructure for internal staff and interface with external partners on IT integration.
- Develop and implement system processes, tools, and best practices to improve project delivery and performance.
- Work closely with senior management and other stakeholders to define project information management system strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Overseeing, Maintaining and Providing Support to current and future technology systems.
- Collecting information regarding potential systems enhancement needs, identifies application issues, and works through barriers to achieve results.
- Driving digital solutions across the Project.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between different departments to ensure the engineering tools meets Project needs.
- Identify and implement enhancements to optimize system performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with project managers, team members, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
- Set goals for the team, with efficient team building including time Management.
- Design, build and deploy business intelligence reports and dashboards
- Ability to drive process improvements
- Deliver solution milestones delivered against plan.
- Ensuring that reports are analyzed and presented in a way that highlights critical management problems and opportunities for effective execution of the project.
- Assess the work and provide a resource leveled plan.
- Overseeing the completion of project milestones leveraging tools/automation and best practices.
- Identifying and analyzing various project key performance indicators and metrics..
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and manage team resources effectively.
- Develop mentor and support the team on project / technical delivery.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement under Configuration Management system processes and systems.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness in project delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices, and ensure the organization is leveraging leading-edge Project information management system methodologies.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure best practices are fully integrated into project planning and execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful project outcomes.
- Engineering degree in a core discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical) from an accredited University
- Registered Professional Engineer in a Province of Canada (member in good standing).
- 7 years of design experience in their core engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams
- Minimum 3 years of nuclear or other regulated industry
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary work with significant stakeholder interface requirements.
- Experience managing and/or performing work under nuclear quality management systems such as CSA N286, CSA N299.
- Working knowledge of industry codes and standards in their core engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated business acumen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to travel to and potentially work at project sites to meet corporate needs (Note: the initial site location is at the Mississauga head office in Ontario)
- Security Clearance with Public Services and Procurement Canada is a condition of employment.
- Experience working in a nuclear facility licensed in Canada.
- Held nuclear station design / engineering qualifications.
- Working knowledge of the nuclear regulatory framework
