Job Description: Mechanical Draftsman Position Title: Mechanical Draftsman Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Draftsman to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for mechanical systems and components. The draftsman will work closely with engineers and designers to ensure accurate and precise documentation for the production, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and Designing: Create detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM... etc.) based on engineers' specifications and designs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers and other design teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements and specifications.
• Modifications and Revisions: Revise existing drawings and designs as needed based on feedback, changes in specifications, or manufacturing requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain organized records of design documents, including revisions, materials, and equipment specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support during the manufacturing process by clarifying design details and troubleshooting potential issues in drawings.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all drawings meet industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and quality control procedures.
• Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating the preparation of documentation for project milestones, ensuring timelines and delivery schedules are met.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. A Technical Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience as a mechanical draftsman or in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing industry for 10+ years
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material properties.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Certifications (Optional): Certification in CAD or drafting-related qualifications may be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., BIM, Revit).
• Familiarity with ANSI, ISO, or other international drafting standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based with potential for on-site visits as needed.
