Job Title: AVP /Vice President - Central Government Sales Skills: Strategic Leadership, Business Development, New Client Acquisition, GTM, Sales Execution Experience: 18+ Years Location: Kolkata Job Summary: Coforge is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President - Central Government Sales to lead and drive our Central government business. This role is pivotal in expanding our market presence and achieving significant revenue growth. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate and capture market share in the Central government business
  • Team Management : Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team to achieve aggressive sales targets
  • Business Development : Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with central government departments and agencies
  • Client Relationships : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at the central government level
  • Sales Execution : Drive the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure, ensuring timely and accurate deal execution
  • Performance Management : Track and analyse sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Partner Ecosystem : Develop and manage strong relationships with OEMs, consultants, and other partners to expand market reach and accelerate sales
Role Competency:
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing large sales teams in the government sector, particularly central governments.
  • Deep understanding of the government procurement process, tendering procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of the Central government business
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government officials at various levels.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
