Lead Teacher of Biology
We are seeking an outstanding Lead Teacher of Biology to join our team at The British School of Bahrain.About the Role
- Create engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students, aligned with the school's curriculum and policies.
- SUPPORT AND ASSESS PROGRESS Regularly assess student learning, providing targeted feedback to drive progress.
- BUILD A POSITIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT Foster a classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and invested in each other's flourishing.
- COLLABORATE WITH COLLEAGUES Work closely with colleagues, sharing best practices and collaborating to ensure high standards of education.
- CONTRIBUTE TO SCHOOL LIFE Play an active role in co-curricular activities, helping to create a well-rounded educational experience.
- COLLABORATE WITH PARENTS Maintain open communication with parents, building strong partnerships to support student progress.
Requirements
- A degree and PGCE or B. Ed or equivalent, with a minimum of two years post-qualification teaching experience.
- Specialist knowledge of Biology from GCSE up to A Level.
- Confidence in using ICT in teaching.
- Enhanced DBS disclosure and commitment to child welfare.
- High expectations and aspirations for students.
- Open-minded approach to work, willingness to learn and develop.
