Job Title: OT Systems Engineer Location: Doha, Qatar Our esteemed client, specializing in providing cutting-edge solutions to enhance the security and performance of operational technologies (OT) within critical industries, is looking for a talented OT Systems Engineer to join their growing team and contribute to ensuring the secure and efficient operation of OT systems in their infrastructure. Please note that applicants should answer the pre-screening questions to be considered for this position. Job Description: We are seeking an experienced OT Systems Engineer proficient in industrial control systems (ICS) and OT networks. You will be responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing OT systems, ensuring their reliability, and protecting them against cyber threats. You will work on SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and related OT systems, applying industry standards and frameworks to ensure the highest level of security and performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and other OT systems.
- Understand and manage the Purdue Levels in OT environments to ensure secure and efficient system architecture.
- Ensure secure operation of OT environments, including DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) architecture and industrial network segmentation.
- Administer and manage industrial communication protocols commonly used in OT environments.
- Configure and manage industrial and next-generation firewalls to ensure robust security of OT systems.
- Manage network switches, VLAN configurations, and perform network segmentation to secure OT networks.
- Implement and manage patch management processes in OT environments, ensuring systems are up-to-date and secure.
- Oversee antivirus management within OT environments, ensuring systems are protected from malicious threats.
- Administer Active Directory, user management, and authentication processes for OT systems.
- Implement secure remote access solutions for OT systems, ensuring compliance with security best practices.
- Manage backup and restore operations to ensure OT system resilience and business continuity.
- Handle disaster recovery (DR) and incident response (IR) activities within OT environments.
- Utilize Network Management Systems (NMS) to monitor and troubleshoot OT network performance.
- Apply industry standards and frameworks, such as NIST and IEC 62443, to maintain the security, compliance, and integrity of OT systems.
- Strong understanding of OT systems such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and ICS.
- In-depth knowledge of the Purdue model for industrial control systems.
- Practical experience working with DMZs in OT environments.
- Proficiency with industrial communication protocols used in OT environments.
- Experience with industrial and next-gen firewalls in OT networks.
- Strong understanding of network switches, VLAN configurations, and segmentation.
- Hands-on experience with patch management in OT systems.
- Knowledge of antivirus management for OT environments.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, user management, and authentication in OT environments.
- Experience with secure remote access for OT systems.
- Expertise in backup, restore management, and disaster recovery for OT environments.
- Proficient in incident response (IR) and network monitoring in OT environments.
- Solid understanding of industry standards and frameworks such as NIST and IEC 62443.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC, etc.)
- Experience in integrating and managing OT systems in a variety of industries.
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
