Responsible for working within authority limits on assignments reflecting the expert degree of technical complexity and coordination under broad management direction. Key responsibilities will involve underwriting business in line with the business plan; assisting the planning and forecasting process; monitoring aggregate exposure within agreed limits; monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within agreed limits; maintaining awareness of all claims advised; supporting and providing input on settlement of claims advised; building and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients; supporting the design and structure of risks; identifying and driving new product development opportunities. Essential Responsibilities What will your essential responsibilities include? To develop and underwrite Art and high net worth business with main focus on developing Singapore portfolio and South Asia market. To achieve underwriting profitability and achieve overall growth plan on Art and Private Client portfolio. Developing accounts with allocated brokers through: Implementing and designing development initiatives New business conversion Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize business opportunities and to increase our book in private collections and institutional risks. To identify and develop new business opportunity in art market through networking into the collectors’ community, accessing good quality galleries and getting closer contact to the public decision-making bodies for museums, exhibitions, and events. You will report to the Head of Fine Art & Specie Asia. Qualifications and Skills We’re looking for someone who has these qualifications and skills: A university degree in a related field is preferred. Underwriting experience is essential, and candidates of various seniority levels are encouraged to apply. The job offered will be commensurate with the level of experience. Passion and knowledge of art. Excellent writing and communication skills. Fluency in English is essential.
