Roles and Responsibilities

  • Proven experience in a hotel or resort environment in the UAE.
  • Strong expertise in plumbing systems and pump troubleshooting.
  • Experience in swimming pool maintenance and related equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Hands-on approach with a can-do work style.
  • Technical Proficiency in Multiple Disciplines
  • Electrical Skills : Understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and electrical components, and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults.
  • Mechanical Skills : Knowledge of mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, conveyor systems, and machinery, and the ability to perform mechanical repairs and maintenance.
  • Plumbing : Familiarity with plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sewage systems, and the ability to fix leaks, unclog pipes, or replace plumbing fixtures.
  • HVAC Knowledge : Understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment.
  • General Maintenance : The ability to perform a variety of routine maintenance tasks, such as fixing doors, windows, or minor construction work, and maintaining the structural integrity of buildings.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting
  • Diagnostic Abilities : The ability to quickly identify problems across various systems and determine the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
  • Critical Thinking : Being able to assess complex issues that may involve multiple systems and solve them in a timely and effective manner, minimizing downtime for the operation.
  • Preventative Maintenance : Recognizing signs of potential issues and performing proactive repairs or maintenance to avoid future breakdowns.
  • Attention to Detail
  • Accuracy in Diagnosis : Ensuring that all repairs, installations, and maintenance work are completed to a high standard, with no overlooked issues.
  • Quality Control : Adhering to strict standards in terms of safety, quality, and compliance when carrying out technical tasks or installations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Performing Routine Maintenance : Conducting scheduled maintenance checks on a variety of systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) to ensure everything is functioning efficiently and to prevent issues.
  • Repairs and Troubleshooting : Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Installation of Equipment : Installing new equipment or systems, such as HVAC units, electrical components, plumbing fixtures, or mechanical devices.
  • Upgrades and Improvements : Recommending upgrades to improve efficiency, safety, or functionality.
  • Monitoring and Controlling Systems : Keeping track of system performance and making adjustments to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Standards : Ensuring all work meets industry regulations, safety standards, and internal company protocols.
  • Responding to Emergency Issues : Being on-call or available for emergency repairs, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, or equipment breakdowns.
