Factory hand - broadford

An opportunity exists for a Factory Hand to become part of our team; Australia’s largest co-product stockfeed team. The role is for afternoon shift based on operational requirements of the business. Our production site at Broadford is seeking an enthusiastic Factory Hand to join us. Prior experience in plant operations is not essential, as you will be trained across all aspects of the business operation. This position is responsible for operating equipment required for the manufacture of stockfeed. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow, is self-motivated, a team player, and can work unsupervised. A strong focus on workplace health and safety is essential. Working in a fast-paced environment, you should be technically minded and have a clear focus on multiple tasks. Responsibilities Conduct and document all pre-operations start-up procedures and/or standard operating procedures correctly and promptly. Prepare and produce orders efficiently, cost-effectively, and in a timely manner to meet customer delivery times. Maintain accurate daily production records and equipment operating settings. Record times and tonnes produced, downtime, waste, rework, and equipment issues to the Shed Supervisor or Assistant. Follow proper and effective handovers at the end of the shift. Ability to operate in a team environment. Maintain a clean working environment. Follow correct Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental directions. Equipment Care and Responsibility. Achievement of prescribed operating instructions, production, and any set tasks. Job Requirements Strong awareness and commitment to safety. Mechanically minded. Must be willing to undergo a Police check and Pre-Employment Medical; Drug & Alcohol check.
