• Manage all engineering requirements on designated vessels.
• Manage internal workshops- and contractor's performance on designated vessels.
• Ensure all day to day and planned maintenance are up to date. 
• Manage designated vessel drydocking.
• Identify and ensure critical spares in stock.
• Identify and manage approved upgrades and cost saving initiatives.
• Compile and adhere to vessel budgets.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• B-Tech, National Higher Diploma(T4) Mech Eng. or similar
• 10-15 years qualification applicable ship repair experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be physically fit and of sober habits.
• Must be prepared to work overtime as required.
• Must be a team player with a 'can-do' attitude.
• Viking Fishing will require contactable references.
