General Ledger Accountant Duties

1. Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts. Maintain balance sheet schedules and perform the month-end and year-end close process.

  1. Assist in preparing financial statements and financial reports.
  2. Analyze and report on budget variances.
  3. Ensure accuracy of financial statements and supporting documentation.
  4. Assist with audits and tax returns.
  5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  6. Advise management on accounting and financial matters. Assist in finalizing the IFRS 16 and operational lease at the month-end closing.
  7. Responsible for preparing the company bank reconciliation at the month's end.
  8. Coordinate with the team for financial book closure.
  9. Assist in preparing company VAT filing and WHT at the month-end. Assist in completing the Zakat working on a quarterly basis and year-end, and coordinate with external auditors.
  10. Responsible for preparing the company bank loan and interest schedule at the month-end and coordinating with the bank for necessary confirmation.
General Ledger Accountant Skills
  1. Proficient in accounting principles.
  2. Strong knowledge of general ledger systems.
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Strong attention to detail.
General Ledger Accountant Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
