ZealGrit is an early-stage social impact organization working towards empowering lives, particularly women and children in rural parts of India. We are currently operating in Bihar through our three verticals:Adolescent health: Aims to improve knowledge and awareness of government school children on their health and nutrition through activity-led sessions.RMNCH: Aims to provide nutrition education and resources to mothers and caregivers to improve overall maternal and child health while working collaboratively with Anganwadi Workers to enhance service delivery. Project SwaNari: Aim to reduce economic poverty among women living in extreme conditions while simultaneously addressing period poverty through the production and distribution of eco-friendly, reusable, cloth-based menstrual products. As a social impact organization, the words "Zeal" and "Grit" signify the nature of our commitment to working towards improving social and health outcomes in remote areas of the country. Please read more about our work at zealgrit.orgPosition OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Communications Associate for a multi-stakeholder platform that has been created to engage civil society, academic institutions, CSO platforms/forums/alliances in supporting the multi-sectoral approach of the POSHAN Abhiyaan strategy, which is key to the progress of the Poshan Jan Andolan. You will work closely with UNICEF India in this role. Please note that we do not provide remote positions. However, working from home for a few days may be possible on a case-by-case basis.ResponsibilitiesDevelop engaging and impactful content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and reports.Develop social media campaign strategies and design impactful posts to increase engagement.Assist in the documentation of project activities, success stories, and impact assessments.Ensure accurate and comprehensive records for reporting and promotional purposes.Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas for content development.Engage in continuous learning to enhance technical skills and stay informed about the latest developments in content creation.What we are looking forA degree in communications, journalism, social work, nutrition, public health, or a related field, master's preferred, and 3 or more years of work experience.Previous work experience in leading health and nutrition campaigns is a plus.A strong grasp of social media platforms and content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe, Animoto, PicMonkey, and Animaker is a must.Previous experience of working in the development sector would be an advantage.Strong written and verbal communication skills and a grasp of Hindi are a must. Possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within teams.Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information into compelling content. Self-starter who will thrive in a start-up setting by taking ownership and initiative.Passion for promoting women's and girls' empowerment and nutrition.High professional ethics and commitment.BenefitsExposure to work in an early-stage social enterprise.Practical exposure to diverse aspects of non-profit work, including health, education, and empowerment.A supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages learning and growth.A competitive salary of 5-7 lpa, depending upon experience.
