Job Summary:The Business Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights that will help in decision-making processes. The role will involve working closely with various business teams including Risk, Finance, Credit, Collections and Operations to optimize business processes, enhance operational efficiency, and identify new business opportunities. Current/Prior experience in NBFC is mandatory.Key Responsibilities:Data Collection and Analysis:Collect and analyze business data from internal and external sourcesPerform data cleaning, transformation, and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability.Use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create dashboards and reports for stakeholders.Business Insights and Reporting:Provide regular reports on business performance metrics (e.g., loan portfolio quality, credit risk, customer behaviour, sales performance).Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and business teams.Business Performance Optimization:Support the development and tracking of KPIs and other performance metrics.Collaborate with business teams to optimize processes, identify operational inefficiencies, and improve overall business performance.Forecasting and Predictive Analysis:Use statistical and machine learning models to forecast business outcomes and customer behaviours (e.g., loan defaults, customer acquisition).Develop predictive models to support risk management and decision-making processes.Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide tailored data solutions.Help define business strategies through data insights, and assist in business planning and product development.Required Skills and Qualifications:Educational Qualification:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or related fields.Technical Skills:Strong proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel).Knowledge of databases and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).Experience:2-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role, preferably in an NBFC, BFSI, or financial services environment.Experience in working with large datasets and extracting meaningful insights to support business strategies.Domain Knowledge:Knowledge of financial products such as loans, credit, risk management.Understanding of financial metrics and KPIs specific to the NBFC sector (e.g., NPA, AR, ROA).Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:Strong ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.Ability to think strategically and analytically to solve business problems.Communication Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Attention to Detail:Ability to spot errors or inconsistencies in data and correct them to maintain high-quality analysis.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with financial modelling and risk assessment techniques.Experience in using advanced analytics or machine learning tools.Benefits:Competitive salary and performance bonuses.Health insurance and other employee benefits.Opportunities for professional development and training.
