Job Description

United Engineering Company specializes in the repair and manufacturing of mechanical components using different equipment present at the company's workshop in kattameya, cairo or by outsourcing services from various service providers across Egypt, United engineering range of services include:

• Core Services : Welding, hard chrome plating, dynamic balancing, lathe machining, cylindrical grinding, milling, polishing, and epoxy buildup and coating, CNC milling and turning, Sheetmetal processes, sand casting, Boring
• Inspection and Analysis : Welding inspection, dimensional inspection, vibration analysis, and laser shaft alignment
• Mechanical Operations : Mechanical assemblies and disassembly.

Scope of Work United Engineering offers expertise across a diverse array of projects, including but not limited to:

• Overhaul of electric motors, pumps, compressors, and blowers.
• Shaft repair and manufacturing.
• Concrete pumps and cranes repair
• Repair and overhaul of valves and wellhead equipment for the oil and gas industry.
• Pipeline welding
• repairs of crushers
• crack and corrosion damage restoration.
• Steel structures cracks repairs and supporting using welding

Workflow and ERP System Integration The company’s operations are streamlined through an ERP system (ERPNext) to ensure efficiency and traceability. The workflow is as follows: (training will be provided on using the ERP system and any required modifications on the system will be handled)

1. Customer Job Order : A job order is received from the client, detailing the requirements for repair or manufacturing.
2. Internal Work Order Creation : Based on customer specifications, an internal work order is created, outlining the project requirements.
3. Task Breakdown and Allocation :
   • A detailed repair or manufacturing procedure is developed and divided into tasks assigned to respective departments.
   • Tasks include detailed requirements such as Bills of Materials (BOM), including material stocks, consumables, welding electrodes, and any associated 2D or 3D design drawings for manufactured parts.
4. Departmental Distribution : Tasks are distributed sequentially among relevant departments for execution.
5. Inspection and Completion : Each task undergoes quality inspection upon completion. Approved tasks are marked as complete, ensuring alignment with project specifications and customer requirements.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant industry.
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills and adapt to evolving tasks.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in dimensional inspection using tools such as Vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Competence in 3D modeling using engineering CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, etc.).
• Sound knowledge of lathe machining, welding, dynamic balancing, hard chrome plating, cylindrical grinding, mechanical assemblies, bearings, and dimensioning and tolerances.
• Familiarity with mechanical designs, thread types, API flanges, pressure testing, and general workshop safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and produce graphic illustrations.

Soft Skills and Software Proficiency

• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with workshop staff and clients.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Advanced report writing and technical offer drafting skills.
• General understanding of industry-specific terminology and practices.

Key Responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for the following: Client Interaction :

• Meet with clients to evaluate job requirements and document specifications.
• Conduct on-site evaluations to assess technical and operational needs.

Task and Workflow Management :

• Create and assign tasks to workshop departments for each job.
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOM) for specific tasks or projects.
• Log and update data in the ERP system, ensuring task progress and completion are tracked accurately.

Inspection and Quality Assurance :

• Inspect jobs prior to submission to clients to ensure quality standards are met.
• Review completed tasks before marking them as complete in the ERP system.

Design and Documentation :

• Create detailed engineering drawings for components and assemblies.
• Draft technical offers and generate purchase requests as needed.

Additional Responsibilities :

• Support the workshop team with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
• Assist in generating graphic illustrations and technical offers.

This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high standard of quality and client satisfaction.
