Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher for one of our reputed schools in Al Ain. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student success. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in mathematics, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching and Instruction:
   1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
   2. Teach a range of mathematics topics based on the curriculum, including (but not limited to) algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and probability.
   3. Utilize various teaching methods and resources such as lectures, interactive activities, and technology to enhance student learning.
   4. Implement formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
2. Classroom Management:
   1. Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
   2. Establish clear expectations for behavior and ensure students follow the classroom rules.
   3. Use proactive strategies to manage student behavior effectively and address any issues that arise.
3. Student Support and Development:
   1. Provide individualized support to students, including tutoring and additional resources for those struggling or excelling in mathematics.
   2. Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset in students.
   3. Motivate students to reach their full academic potential and foster a love for mathematics.
4. Curriculum Development and Enhancement:
   1. Contribute to the development and improvement of the mathematics curriculum.
   2. Ensure that teaching materials are up-to-date and relevant to current educational standards and practices.
   3. Integrate technology and modern teaching tools to enrich the learning experience.
5. Assessment and Reporting:
   1. Prepare, administer, and grade assessments, quizzes, and homework.
   2. Regularly assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
   3. Maintain accurate records of student performance and report progress to school leadership.
6. Collaboration:
   1. Collaborate with colleagues in the mathematics department and across other subjects to ensure interdisciplinary learning.
   2. Participate in regular staff meetings, department meetings, and professional development sessions.
   3. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student performance and behavior.
7. Professional Development:
   1. Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with current trends in mathematics education.
   2. Participate in workshops, conferences, and other opportunities to improve teaching skills.

Qualifications:

1. Education:
   1. A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field is required. A teaching certification or relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., M.Ed, PGCE) is preferred.
   2. Strong academic background in mathematics with a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
2. Experience:
   1. Previous 1 to 3 years experience teaching mathematics at the middle school/high school level is preferred.
   2. Experience with differentiated instruction and various teaching methods is an advantage.
3. Skills and Competencies:
   1. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
   2. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
   3. Proficiency in using educational technology such as online learning platforms, digital tools, and mathematics software.
   4. Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
   5. Patient, empathetic, and able to inspire students to learn and succeed.
