Job Description - Infrastructure Services – Unix Technical Analyst (2500000L) Job Description: The Technical Analyst will be working in the Infrastructure Core Services Team and assist for operation, preventive and recovery of production incidents. Responsibilities: Install, maintain, upgrade, and patch UNIX servers in the organization. Troubleshoot and resolve system and software/hardware issues. Create and manage user accounts and groups on UNIX servers. Support and maintain high availability of systems using clustering software. Respond to user requests and escalation calls in a timely manner. Monitor performance and suggest improvements in current system design and architecture. Secure the systems by following published hardening guidelines. Assess systems against security vulnerabilities and work with stakeholders to fix the gaps. Assist in audit and compliance tasks. Perform disaster recovery tasks for various systems periodically. Requirements: Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science/IT. At least 10 years of experience as a UNIX engineer; previous employment experience in the financial sector is an advantage. Detailed knowledge in the following UNIX OS: IBM AIX 7.1/7.2, Oracle Solaris 10/11, Red Hat Linux 6/7. Good knowledge in networking concepts, not limited to TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, link aggregation, IPMP/bonding/ether channel, virtual switches. Detailed knowledge in AIX virtualization using VIOS, LPARs, NPIV, and NIM. Detailed knowledge in Solaris virtualization using Oracle VM for SPARC, vHBA, VSW, disk mapping. Good knowledge in Linux virtualization using VMware vSphere. Knowledge in creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting JFS, JFS2, GPFS, ZFS, VxVM/VxFS, XFS, EXT, and GFS file systems. Knowledge in multipathing of IO and network layer at the server. Good knowledge in high availability software: Veritas Cluster, IBM Power HA, Solaris Cluster, and Red Hat Pacemaker. Knowledge in supporting servers using OOB tools like HMC, ILOM, and ILO. Knowledge of IBM Power, Oracle x86/SPARC, and HP hardware. Knowledge in HP Server Automation tools is an added advantage. Strong in shell scripting and knowledge of VI editor. Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues quickly. #J-18808-Ljbffr
