Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM's streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.How you'll make an impact:We're seeking a Sr. SDET, for our team, which is responsible for ensuring that our iOS,Android, Web, and Consumer Electronics users have the very best music experience. You'll have a huge impact on the quality of SiriusXM's growing suite of products and services by acting as a champion of quality engineering. You will be involved in all testing activities throughout the SDLC. You will leverage your knowledge and experience in testing to influence better software design, promote best practices, introduce bug prevention strategies, testability, and other advanced quality concepts across products.What you'll do:Analyze business requirements, design documentation, and technical specifications to decide on the most effective scripting/test strategy to exercise the functionality or performance of the productEffectively collaborate with Quality Engineering members, engineers and PM's across teams on large projects/missionsElicit and guide team members to support large scripting effortsSolve complex automation challenges, predicting challenging issues in projects before they occur and escalating to the appropriate partiesSet and review script quality standards and practicesDemonstrate exceptional ability to isolate and troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging software testing methodologiesPerform automated test demos and walk through the test scripts with other team membersAttend design and product update meetings representing Quality Engineering teamContribute both to the definition and the enforcement of quality engineering processes and procedures based on best practice methodologyContribute status tracking and management level reporting on projectsProactively learn the backend infrastructure, services, APIs, and new testing and technology trends that will impact testing of upcoming releasesGenerate comprehensive test plans, execute and automate them for client applicationsCollect and report quality metrics from test executionsWhat you'll need:Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a combination of equivalent education and experience5-7 years Quality Engineering test automation experience5 years of core JavaExpertise in Object-Oriented Programming conceptsExpert knowledge of digital streaming devices and industry trendsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lead multiple projects, acting as point of contact for the teamDetail-oriented and well-organizedAbility to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to both internal and external client quality and customer advocacyWillingness to take initiative and to follow through on projectsThorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environmentsExperience in writing, executing and monitoring automated test suitesAbility to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment, multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely mannerTechnical Skills:Strong coding skills with JavaExperience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools, such as Github actions, to create and maintain automation and manual testing infrastructureExperience with SDLC and tooling, such as GIT, branching/merging, build systems, and continuous integration.Testing enterprise applications deployed to cloud environments such as AWS and GCPExperience testing front-end applicationsStrong comprehension of Automated Testing Implementation and StrategiesOur goal at SiriusXM is to provide and maintain a work environment that fosters mutual respect, professionalism and cooperation.
