Responsibilities
- Report to Human Resource Manager or designated representative.
- Support the function in the day-to-day running of the Human Resources department.
- Flexible in performing the basic functions of the HR department in areas of personnel management, performance management, HR initiatives, organizational change, and projects.
- High volume recruitment and selection, including interviews, organization of pre-employment medical checks, reference checks, and recruitment-related administration.
- On-boarding of new employees, including preparation of contracts, documents, delivering induction, and personnel file creation.
- General administration required of the Human Resource function.
- Employee engagement organization and implementation.
- Hosting and delivering employee communications.
- Benefits research and administration.
- Support management and supervisors in best practice employee relations.
- Training organization and facilitation.
- Maintenance of HRIS - HR Locker.
- Access control system maintenance.
- L6 Human Resource or Administration qualification or equivalent (Business, Legal Studies).
- Min 2 years’ experience in a recruitment-related role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and information systems.
- Min 1 year’s experience in a busy Human Resource department.
- Professional interpersonal, self-presentation, and communication skills.
- Positive team working approach and adherence to Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Focus on fairness and consistency, with diplomacy, empathy, and confidentiality.
