We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our finance team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with limited professional experience in accounting. The Entry-Level Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, processing transactions, and preparing reports. The successful candidate will be a quick learner, with a strong grasp of accounting principles and a willingness to develop their skills in a professional environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist with maintaining accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and accounts.Help enter financial transactions into accounting software or spreadsheets.Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.Assist with processing vendor invoices and ensuring timely payments.Help track outstanding customer invoices and follow up on overdue accounts.Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy.Support the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.Assist with the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.Assist with reconciling company bank accounts and credit card statements.Enter data into accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Assist with generating financial reports for internal and external use.Help prepare budgets and financial forecasts as required.Track company expenses and ensure they are recorded in the appropriate accounts.Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with the company's financial policies.Assist in the preparation of sales tax filings, income tax returns, and other tax-related documentation.Ensure that the company remains in compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.Perform general office duties such as filing, organizing documents, and scanning.Assist with any ad-hoc accounting tasks and special projects as needed.Required Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Experience: No prior professional accounting experience required. Relevant internships or coursework will be considered.Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data entry). Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) is a plus but not required.Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debits, credits, financial statements).Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial data.Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to Learn: Open to receiving training and actively developing skills in accounting and finance.Preferred Qualifications:Internship or volunteer experience in accounting or finance is a plus.Exposure to accounting software or enterprise resource planning.Basic understanding of tax preparation or financial reporting processes.Salary and Benefits:Competitive entry-level salary based on qualifications and experience.Why Join Us?This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level accountant to build a foundation for a successful career in accounting.
