Head of Purchasing - Munster - RedChair RecruitmentRedChair Recruitment Munster1 week agoDescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Head of Purchasing to support operational efficiency and quality in engineering output, oversee procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.This is a permanent full-time position based in County Kerry, Ireland.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate purchasing activities at company levelSupport the Project Manager in defining and implementing the divisional purchasing strategyImplement and develop group-wide and division-wide Material Group ManagementOptimize replenishment times and implement a multi-supplier strategyEnsure the availability of materialsLead on reducing material costsManage a team of purchasing department staffDevelop purchasing methods and toolsTake responsibility for purchasing controlLead all purchasing project portfoliosRequirements:5+ years of experience in procurement managementSolid knowledge of procurement strategiesEducated to degree level or hold relevant qualifications coupled with extensive experienceWhat We Offer:A market-rate salary, negotiable based on experience, along with an additional package including pension benefits.
