Employing a discipleship and church planting strategy in tandem following the gift of clean water, critical aid and sustainable development, GAiN seeks to embrace people with the love of God, to let them know they are of value and significance, and to restore their dignity.Position Overview:The WFLI Director gives overall leadership to the Water for Life Initiative, providing vision and direction, overseeing program implementation and developing the required resources for the program in accordance with the values and mission of GAiN. The Director will lead a motivated, engaged and "on-mission" technical, administrative, programs and monitoring/evaluation team. Strong oversight of international operations is given to ensure clarity on the goals and mission of WFLI, resource productivity and good long-term decision-making in each country. The WFLI Director also provides leadership to individuals from the Mission Integration team to ensure missional and church planting goals are effective within the activities of WFLI.Primary OutcomesThis role will be held accountable to achieve the following outcomes: Leadership and direction is given to the spiritual, financial, administrative, technical, programming, monitoring and evaluation segments of the WFLI, both internationally and in Canada (75%): Spiritual direction is provided within the context of Integral Mission Financial records accurately reflect the expenditures of WFLI; actual expenditures versus budget, and cash flow implications of operations are monitored and communicated Administrative records accurately reflect the activities of WFLI Drilling operations are equipped through investments in processes, tools and people Monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting of WLFI activities occurs accurately and on-time Agreed-upon programming is effective and best practices are implemented g. Program outputs and outcomes are reported, data is understood and changes to programs and methods are made as required Succession planning and staff development opportunities are identified and actionedTeam dynamics are proactively managed New Innovation and Partnerships are integrated into the WFLI (10%) Champions the development, maintenance and communication of activities as related to the GAiN Worldwide network, within WFLI Provides an operational and capability "voice" in the development of new programs, partnerships and proposals Participates in proposal writing and budgeting Fund Development for Water for Life Initiative (10%) Liaise with DA team to develop fund development strategy for WFLI Manage a caseload of WFLI ministry partners Liaise with the Donor Advancement team regarding fulfillment activities Active member of GAiN Canada's lead team, participating in weekly meetings and strategy sessions to give overall leadership to the direction of GAiN Canada Required Skills and AbilitiesEffective cross-cultural, multi-generational people management skillsExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of the relationship between tools, processes and people in the context of operationsBasic financial acumen and ability to connect activities with financial impactProblem solver - critical thinker. Able to look at a situation from a 360° perspectiveQuickly able to adapt in a cross-cultural setting and in working with government officialsA passion for humanitarian aid seeking to demonstrate the love of God in Word and DeedAble to work from a Google Suite platformAble to travel internationally (hold or can obtain a valid passport) and perform in a variety of cross-cultural settingsAs this position works with children in an international context, the successful applicant will be required to complete a criminal record check and vulnerable sector searchEducation and Experience:5+ years experience in a non-profit or ministry leadership role Demonstrated familiarity with WASH sector Bible school or seminary training an assetOther Requirements:A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a pre-existing belief and demonstration of lifestyle as outlined in the P2C Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith and abide by the biblical principles outlined in these documents.FundingThis position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate's salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance.
