Online Programmer

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Hybrid JOB DESCRIPTION Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is seeking a talented Online Programmer with experience and expertise in server programming. The main responsibility of the programmer would be to create various modules for online games. The programmer should be capable of creating various technical solutions as per the design requirements and should have an understanding of various web protocols.What you'll do:Participate in the creation of new online services related to a game or game serviceDevelop, integrate, and maintain global online platform services such as Matchmaking, Leaderboards, etc.Participate in determining systems' behavior under normal or simulated peak load conditions to optimize performanceNetwork optimizations: minimize bandwidth usage, decrease latency, etc.Implement replication strategies and leverage existing replication systemsSupport existing functionalities and systemsTrack down and correct the bugs identified by quality control or members of the production team QUALIFICATIONS What you'll bring:Knowledge of network optimization and latency reduction techniquesComfortable in creating RESTful web servicesUnderstanding of client-server architectureExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Strong skills in server-side resource profiling, optimization, and debuggingExcellent programming skills and solid experience programming in C#Strong understanding of .Net coreKnowledge of AWS, K8S, Redis, MongoDBSkills in optimizing code for performance and memory usageExperience with profiling tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecksA passion for creating and playing gamesWillingness to learn new technology and rapidly apply it in your daily workUnderstanding of scalability issues and replication conceptsAbility to diagnose and fix complex issues in a live game environmentQualifications:Minimum five years of programming experience with significant involvement in online services and real-time gameplayExperience with Socket programming and optimization and lag management for online gamesDegree in technology or any other training or equivalent
