Competitive Remuneration Package Great Career Exposure and Growth Convenient Traveling Location As a Head of Social Work, you will be responsible for the following duties: Oversee the planning, development, and delivery of tiered services, using the expertise of social workers to support caregivers of students, DAC clients, and residents with autism. This may include assigning social workers to lead teams in managing complex cases, ensuring coordinated support. Work with the Allied Professional team (psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists) to create comprehensive care plans, focusing on the role of social workers in strengthening caregiver support. Supervise and guide social workers to provide effective caregiver support, including leading admissions, referrals, and helping caregivers access community resources. Lead the social work team to support families by helping caregivers improve their ability to care for students and clients, and by building partnerships with external agencies like Family Service Centres, Social Service Offices, CDCs, and other specialized service providers. Collaborate with the CEO and Heads of Services (School Principal, Head of Adult Services, and Head of Home) to design and implement enhanced systems of caregiver support, especially for those caring for individuals with moderate to severe autism. Oversee the administration of the department to ensure smooth operations. Perform any other duties as assigned. Requirements: Be a registered social worker with at least 5 years of experience (preferably in the disability sector), including 3 years in a leadership role. Possess strong leadership and clinical supervision skills to guide and develop the social work team. Have a good understanding of the unique challenges in working with individuals with autism, or a willingness and desire to learn more about autism.
