JOB PURPOSE The ATE Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of ATE Equipment in accordance with GCAA rules and regulations. NATURE & SCOPE Reports to Head of ATE/ATE Engineer on the performance of the ATE equipment and on any need for improvement and on matters affecting the adequacy, accuracy, and timeliness of requirements of applicable GCAA CAR Part VIII, Subpart 5. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Procedural compliance;
- Supervise and coordinate with ATE engineers/technicians on maintenance of airport ATE equipment and reporting the operational conditions of the equipment to Head of ATE;
- Follow compliance regulatory and maintenance procedures;
- Preparation and submission of the periodic inspection reports on a monthly basis;
- ATE equipment inspections;
- Assist Head of ATE to operate, install & maintain all the ATE equipment;
- Shall hold responsibility in respective sections as follows:
- COMMUNICATION
- Radio System (UHF –VHF);
- Voice Switches (VCCS);
- Voice Recording System;
- NAVIGATION
- Instruments Landing System Localizer (LLZ) & Glide path (GP);
- Doppler VHF Omni directional Range (DVOR);
- High/Low Power Distance Measuring Equipment (DME);
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).
- SURVEILLANCE
- Wide Area Multilateration (WAM);
- Radar Display System (RDD);
- Flight Data Operator (FDO);
- AIRPORT NETWORKS
- Automatic Weather Station (AWS);
- Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Networks (AFTN/AMHS);
- Time Reference System/GPS Clock (TRS);
- Networks System;
- Any other work-related duty assigned by Head of ATE.
- Bachelor's degree preferably in electronics/communication/equivalent engineering OR 3 years diploma in electronics/communication with 5 years experience.
- Leadership and initiative;
- Ability to prioritize duties;
- Be well organized and able to multi-task;
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions;
- Airport assessments certificate;
- Field qualifications and scientific terms;
- Able to work under pressure;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Radiotelephony Competency for UHF;
- Airport Driving Permit Level 2;
- Working with airport policies;
- IT proficiency for MS Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Communication skills;
- UAE driving license;
- Written and spoken English competency.
- Preferably 1-3 years field experience in the CNS Field (Communication, Surveillance, and Navigation);
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronics equipment;
- Experience in different kinds of equipment installation;
- Knowledge of international and aviation regulatory standards.
- Fujairah: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
- QMS: 10 years (Preferred)
