Assists the Master to ensure the safe and efficient control of the vessel.Perform the role of Watch keeper when on conventional watches to ensure the safe navigation of the vessels.Maintains stability and watertight integrity of the vessel to ensure statutory criteria compliance.Maintains the Vessel's lifting equipment and keeps us.Ensure that personnel complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all company policies, regulatory laws, and regulations.Deck and Crew Supervision:Departmental head for Deck officers and crew.Assesses Deck Crew and Bridge officers to ensure compliance.Be familiar with the relevant safe working practices, procedures, and permit to work system.Enforces policies and procedures and maritime laws to ensure compliance with the vessel security plan, garbage management plan.Minimum Qualifications:Degree from a recognized Maritime Academy or University.Valid Chief mate unlimited License STCW95 III/2 Valid 5 years.Vessel Flag state endorsement of license C.O.E.Valid Basic safety training STCW.Valid Proficiency in Rescue boat and Survival Craft A-VI/2-1 - STCW Code.Valid Advance Fire Fighting A-VI/3 - STCW Code.Valid Seafarer Medical fitness certificate -STCW.Valid Awareness in security- STCW Code- in effect 2017.2 or more years of experience as Chief Mate on vessels in the offshore oil & Gas industry or 2 or more years of experience as Chief Mate on other vessels preferably on lift boat.JUB experience must have 2 years on a self-propelled Jack up Barge.
