IFRS Lead - Doha - KinTec Recruitment LtdKinTec Recruitment Ltd Dohaمنذ أسبوعJob Purpose:Lead technical accounting aspects, including IFRS compliance, and provide guidance on implementing new standards to ensure adherence.Key Job Accountabilities:Coordinate year-end statutory financial statements for group companies, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and communicating effectively with the external auditor.Advise on key financial statement disclosures, such as impairment and liquidity risk, to enhance accuracy and transparency.Review and develop technical accounting arguments to defend positions in front of stakeholders, ensuring working papers are robust and defendable.Provide expert insights on complex transactions and lead financial simulations to understand impact on profitability.Collaborate with stakeholders to review and evaluate commercial agreements impacting joint venture companies.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting and an internationally recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA) is mandatory.10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with 3 years in supervisory roles in finance.Experience in one of the Big Four in audit and IFRS.Managerial/senior managerial level or above in the Big Four.Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
