Estimation Engineer - Oil & Gas

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer with a solid background in the oil and gas industry and more than 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and contributing to winning bids and successful project execution.Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed cost estimates for oil and gas projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.Analyze project specifications, tender documents, and scope of work to develop comprehensive estimates.Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to gather input and ensure accurate estimates.Review and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive and reliable pricing.Develop and maintain a database of costs and pricing for future reference and benchmarking.Identify and quantify potential risks and provide contingency recommendations.Assist in tender preparation and submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.Provide support during post-tender discussions and negotiations with clients.Desired Candidate Profile:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Civil, or related disciplines.Minimum 5+ years of experience in estimation within the oil and gas sector.Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques, project costing, and pricing methodologies.Proficiency in software tools like MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software.Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with Qatar's oil and gas industry standards and regulations is an advantage.Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
