Job DescriptionThe Head of Internal Auditor is responsible for preparing and implementing a risk-based audit plan to assess, report on, and make suggestions for improving the company's key operational and finance activities and internal controls.Additionally, the position is responsible for identifying and assisting in documenting existing internal finance and disclosure controls, implementing and documenting new internal controls, and establishing an internal monitoring function to audit the company's compliance with such internal controls.The duties and responsibilities of the Head of Internal Audit role include, but are not limited to, managing and performing the Internal Audit Department.Specific Responsibilities:Compliance and Governance:Assess compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and ensure the organization's adherence.Team Leadership:Manage and lead a team of internal auditors, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.Train new staff as needed.Quality Assurance:Implement and oversee a quality assurance and improvement program for the internal audit function.Ensure compliance with internal audit standards and best practices.Reporting:Prepare and present comprehensive and insightful audit reports to senior management and the Audit Committee.Track and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements within the internal audit function.Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging risks.Keep abreast of company policies and procedures, current developments in accounting and auditing professions, and changes in local laws, as applicable.Key Responsibilities:Undertake the internal audit of the Divisions of Al Nasr Holding viz Venture Gulf Trading and General Services, Metal Recycling, Venture Gulf Engineering, Avis Rent a Car, and other associate Companies entrusted to you by the Management.Audit Planning and Strategy:Develop an annual internal audit plan based on risk assessments, regulatory requirements, and organizational priorities.Establish strategies for the effective execution of audit engagements.Perform audit work, including plan preparation, workpapers, findings, and associated reports, verifying the accuracy of financial records as they pertain to assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, and related transactions.Audit Execution:Lead and conduct internal audits across the organization, evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.Ensure that audit procedures are performed in accordance with professional standards.Assist in the development of the Company's annual audit plan.Perform preliminary planning and establish direction for audits, providing leadership to assigned auditors, managing projects to quantify outcomes while meeting established time budgets.Risk Assessment:Conduct risk assessments to identify and prioritize areas of potential risk to the organization.Develop and implement risk-based audit plans.Stakeholder Collaboration:Collaborate with key stakeholders, including management and process owners, to understand business processes and identify areas for improvement.Communicate audit findings and recommendations in a clear and constructive manner.Manage performance of audit assignments, review workpapers and audit reports, and edit reports prepared by other auditors.Coordinate and interact with company personnel and vendors doing business with the company.Coordinate and interact with audit firms performing external audits of company financial statements.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPlease include the title "Head of Internal Auditor" in the subject line of your email.
