Head of Engineering (Pharmaceutical/ Healthcare)

They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Engineering to lead and oversee the engineering team. You will be responsible for optimising production efficiency, ensuring product quality and leading the implementation of engineering best practices. Job Description Oversee all engineering aspects within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role involves managing equipment qualifications, maintenance, project management and process validation to ensure the plant meets its production goals and regulatory standards. Implement and drive engineering solutions to streamline manufacturing processes, focus on process stability and continuous improvement. Oversee capital projects from concept to completion, manage changes to project scope, schedules and costs and ensure adherence to timelines, budget and quality specifications. Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams in formulating robust engineering practices. Responsible for CAPEX and maintenance budget. Lead and develop the engineering team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement and ensure effective allocation of resources. Ensure all facilities and utilities comply with regulatory standards including EHS initiatives. Other relevant engineering responsibilities and projects as determined by management. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's or Master degree in engineering or related discipline. Experience in maintenance, engineering and project management activities within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably from an oral solid dosage formulation plant. Equipped with strong people management experience and understanding of local regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Experience in greenfield/ brownfield project, including handling large-scale engineering projects will be advantageous. Strong knowledge of GMP, EHS, and pharmaceutical production processes. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies will be advantageous. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, ability to effectively present strategies and solutions with stakeholders/ cross-functional teams.
