In recognition of its high quality and patient safety, the AKUH is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) as an Academic Medical Centre and its Clinical Laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) for fast and accurate testing.The Department of Psychiatry at the Aga Khan University Hospital includes a vibrant team of experts, who deal with different aspects of mental health care for adults and children. They work in multidisciplinary teams of psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure evidence-based management plans which include cultural insights. As part of the Aga Khan University Hospital, the Department collaborates with other specialties in the effort to provide comprehensive care to our patients. The Department envisions providing access to the best standards of care, advocating for mental health issues, conducting research based in Pakistan, educating about mental health difficulties, and creating leaders in mental health.ResponsibilitiesThis position is based on a revenue-sharing model on a one-year renewable contract. Key responsibilities will include:Design and implement psychological assessments.Conduct cognitive behavior planning evaluations.Assess emotional and behavioral issues.Provide therapy for learning difficulties.Deliver developmental therapy.Stay informed on infection control protocols and adhere to them.Participate in on-call and consultation duties.RequirementsYou should have:A Masters in Clinical Psychology, preferably Ph.D.At least two to three years of clinical experience in development of assessments, intervention planning, counseling families, and evaluation of children with developmental risks.Knowledge of counseling and health care techniques.Evaluation of patients, monitor and record patient progress.To ApplyYou should send your detailed CV by email to human.resources@aku.edu and mention NFT Consultant, Psychologist in the subject line.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Applications should be submitted latest by July 16, 2024.
