Assistant General Manager - Supply Chain Management Company: Cosmos Pumps Pvt. Ltd. Location: Faridabad, Haryana Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Department: Supply Chain Management Job Type: Full-Time Experience: Minimum 10 years in manufacturing Position Summary The Assistant General Manager (AGM) - Supply Chain Management is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement to delivery. The AGM will ensure smooth operations, cost efficiency, and adherence to high-quality standards to support the company’s manufacturing and business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise, excellent leadership skills, and in-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, especially within the manufacturing sector. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs while maintaining quality and timelines.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
Procurement and Vendor Management:
  • Oversee sourcing and procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of materials and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Identify and onboard reliable vendors for consistent supply and quality assurance.
Inventory and Warehouse Management:
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production while minimizing holding costs.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and distribution of materials and finished products.
  • Monitor inventory turnover and implement best practices for inventory control.
Logistics and Distribution:
  • Oversee transportation and logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Optimize shipping schedules, routes, and costs to improve overall efficiency.
  • Resolve logistical challenges and delays effectively.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to enhance team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with company objectives.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards across the supply chain.
  • Identify potential risks in supply chain operations and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and certifications.
Technology and Process Improvement:
  • Leverage technology to streamline supply chain operations, such as implementing ERP systems.
  • Continuously assess and improve supply chain workflows to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to maintain competitive advantage.
Required Qualifications and Skills Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
Professional Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in purchasing, supply chain management within the manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated success in leading team through KRAs/KPIs data driven processes, improving bottom line for purchase, store and logistics department.
Technical and Functional Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory control, logistics, and store management.
  • Proficiency in SAP systems and supply chain management software.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Leadership and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
