Company Description Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House is a picturesque boutique hotel that occupies three buildings, two of which are 19th-century manor houses bursting with character. The hotel is newly refurbished with a décor based on Oxford-style vintage fashion. Set amongst 3 acres of private gardens and only 2 miles from Oxford city centre, Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel is a beautiful country manor in the picturesque village of Iffley. A total of 77 rooms, all en-suite, are divided between two buildings, each with an entirely different character. It's a 10-minute bus ride from the bus stop outside the hotel to the city centre and train station, or a relaxing 35-minute walk along the riverside Thames Path National Trail, which is just steps away from the hotel. - Full-time position
- £27,000 to £29,000 per annum

- Produces and presents the dishes for the section in line with the cooking instructions and processes defined by the hotel and brand.
- Ensures that dishes are well presented, of a high standard, and at the right temperature.
- Delivers dishes in good time to suit guests' wishes.
- May be asked to receive deliveries, check, and store merchandise.
- Organises work and timing to suit fluctuations in guest numbers, special events, and particular guests.
- Ensures that the workplace remains clean and the safety of consumable goods by always respecting HACCP regulations.
- Respects the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment used.
- Applies the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire, etc.).
- Respects the hotel's commitments to the "Environmental Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste, etc.).
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Ability to manage Commis Chefs.
- Ability to produce good quality food in all sections.
- Good oral communication.
- Team management skills.
