Roles and responsibilities

  • Property Finder is one of the largest technology start-ups in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, currently on a path to become a unicorn.
  • Our primary business is a leading online real estate and rental marketplace dedicated to connecting consumers to their perfect property.
  • A UAE-born startup, Property Finder expanded its operations to Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey over the years.
  • We are aspiring to create a lighthouse technology company which will have a lasting impact in the entire tech ecosystem in our geography.
Summary:
  • The Strategy & Analytics team is leading some of the most critical and exciting initiatives of the company, where we bring problem-solving and data skills together in order to make a change in the way the organization operates.
  • Now, we’re looking for a Summer Associate who’ll help us with some of the most strategic projects of the company, for a period of 2 - 3 months.
  • You'd be working with a team including ex McKinsey, Bain, BCG and Big 4 consultants.
The role:
  • Own and deliver a critical workstream of large Strategy, Business Operations, Analytics or Strategic Pricing projects.
  • Work closely with stakeholders from around the business (Commercial, Growth, Product, etc.) to develop recommendations.
  • Communicate your recommendations effectively to convince senior leaders of the organization to take action (C-level exposure guaranteed!).
  • Receive outstanding training and frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues on your teams.
  • Learn to solve business problems using a hypothesis-driven approach to create business impact.
The person: You...
  • Currently an MBA student in a globally recognized, top-tier university.
  • Have experience with top-tier management consulting or technology firm pre-MBA.
  • Capable of both high-level strategic thinking and detailed execution.
  • Have 3-5 years of relevant industry or functional work experience showing progressive/promotion and academic achievement.
  • Have outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.

Desired candidate profile

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation
    • Proficiency in analyzing large datasets using tools such as Excel , SQL , Python , or R to extract insights.
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau , Power BI , or Google Data Studio to present findings in an understandable format.
    • Ability to apply statistical techniques and methods to interpret data and identify trends, correlations, and anomalies.
  • Business Strategy Development
    • Understanding of business strategy principles and the ability to help develop, assess, and refine strategic plans.
    • Ability to align business goals with analytical insights to inform decision-making and organizational growth.
    • Familiarity with competitive analysis, market research, and SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats).
  • Problem-Solving
    • Strong analytical thinking to break down complex problems and identify the best strategic approach.
    • Ability to use data-driven insights to propose solutions and strategies that improve business performance.
  • Project Management
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, balancing strategic analysis with operational tasks.
    • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile , Waterfall ) to support efficient workflow and timely delivery of strategy and analytics initiatives.
  • Financial Analysis and Modeling
    • Basic understanding of financial concepts like budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
    • Ability to create financial models to support strategic decisions, especially for resource allocation, pricing strategies, or investment assessments.
  • Communication and Presentation
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to present complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to summarize findings into clear, actionable recommendations and support strategic decisions through data-driven arguments.
    • Experience in creating presentations using tools like PowerPoint or Google Slides for senior leadership or client meetings.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis
    • Conducting market research to identify trends, customer behaviors, and competitor strategies that inform strategic decisions.
    • Familiarity with tools like Nielsen , Statista , or SurveyMonkey to gather and analyze market data.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork
    • Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, operations, and product development.
    • Experience working with senior leaders and other stakeholders to support the implementation of business strategies.
  • Attention to Detail
    • Ensuring accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting, as small errors can lead to incorrect strategic decisions.
  • Business Acumen
    • Understanding the broader business landscape, including industry trends, company operations, and financial performance, to make informed strategic recommendations.
