Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect (Remote)

Job Overview:The Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architect is responsible for leading the design, architecture, and implementation of e-commerce solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud. The role requires an in-depth understanding of e-commerce business processes, technical architecture, and integrations, as well as strong leadership skills to guide teams in delivering complex e-commerce projects for our group companies and business partners.Responsibilities:Lead a group of SFCC Developers to deliver SFCC customizations and projectsLead the design and architecture of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) solutionsAct as a hands-on technical lead, actively participating in the development process, including writing code, reviewing code, and debugging complex issuesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical designsDevelop comprehensive technical architectures that meet both short-term and long-term business objectivesEnsure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and follow best practices and standards for SFCCProvide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, including conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to architectural standardsOversee the implementation of customizations, performance optimizations, and system improvementsCollaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverablesLead integration efforts between Salesforce Commerce Cloud and third-party systems such as ERP, CRM, Marketing, CDP and payment gatewaysRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience7+ years of experience in e-commerce development, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware)Proven experience in architecting and designing large-scale SFCC implementationsExcellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teamsExpertise in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and SiteGenesis frameworksStrong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworksExperience working with version control tools like Git and build/deployment tools such as Jenkins or BitbucketTeam player with strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively with both internal and external teamsAbility to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a flexible attitude toward shift coverage PRB
